This paper analyzes the political crises. which arose in post-Soviet Russia during the period 1996-1999 and attempts of resolving them. The first chapter gives an idea of the cases, when the concept of a political crisis was used by people in the public space of Russia. The second chapter is devoted to the description and characterization of the identified cases of political crises.
