Improving the Business Operating System in the Context of Demand Seasonality

Seasonality, as a distinctive feature of a particular area, can have a negative impact on the company's activities and lead to a decrease in business efficiency not only in terms of final financial indicators, but also in the operational aspect. The current work is a study conducted on the basis of the enterprise, one of the divisions of which operates in the field of flower business and faces the problem of seasonality, both in terms of product sales and in terms of the nature of production. There are different options for reducing seasonality, involving active and passive strategies. In this case, based on the results of the analysis of the operating activities and the business concept of the division, the possibility of partially solving the problem by introducing a new production process was identified. The result of the optimization of operating activities by adding a new production technology will be the possibility of extending the period of production and sales of products and increasing the scale of production of the main product groups, which will help to reduce the negative effect of seasonality on the company's activities.
