The paper considers the problem of the specifics of the leadership potential of an inspiring leader and examines the impact of game elements on the process of leadership development. Currently, based on the existing leadership potential, it is difficult to determine the level of inspiring leadership, and the question of methods for developing such leadership, especially in the field of higher education, remains open. The main goal of the work is to create a leadership development program that contains elements of inspiration and gamification. To achieve this goal, we analyzed domestic and foreign sources on the topic of inspiring leadership and the specifics of developing leadership potential. The research is based on the information obtained during the survey of students of the Faculty of Management, and tests were also used to assess the leadership potential and the level of motivation. As a result, based on a theoretical review and the results of an empirical study, a program for developing leadership potential using gamification was presented as a recommendation for students at the Higher School of Economics – Nizhny Novgorod.
