The study of fairy tale stories is one of the most popular directions in comparative literature, however often the attention of researchers to this topic does not cover the works of the 21st century. The Lunar Chronicles is a tetralogy by Marissa Meyer, which is a modern adaptation of classic fairy tales, the main characters of which are the famous Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Rapunzel. This study will attempt to analyze the features of the reinterpretation of fairy-tale stories in modern fantasy and identify the key features of the adaptation of Marissa Meyer.
