The system of statistical accounting of the state is the most important element of the social and economic development of the country. Statistics reflects the state of development, problems, strengths and weaknesses of the economy, allows you to assess the functionality of the work of public authorities, points to shortcomings and clarifies issues that require improving the public administration system. The basis of labor market statistics, methods of collecting information, analyzing and processing data, as well as publishing the results of statistical studies are the recommendations and methodologies proposed by the International Labor Organization. The most striking example of the application of ILO methodologies in the conduct of statistics is the Russian Federation, which is a member state of the ILO. However, not all states have such a high level of development. The Donetsk People's Republic is a young state and is still only forming a state management system, which includes the State Statistics Service of the DPR. As part of the consideration of the system of statistical accounting of the DPR labor market, problems and an insufficient level of development of the statistics system and management bodies were identified. In this regard, in order to improve labor market statistics, it was proposed to gradually introduce the ILO recommendations, based on the experience of the Russian Federation.
