Development of an Application for Analyzing the Competitiveness of Electric Vehicles

The global market of electric vehicles is constantly developing. Manufacturers of e-vehicles are striving to gain a greater share of the automotive industry. Currently electric vehicles are a high-potential segment of the automotive market. Development of the e-vehicle market affects not only environment but also growth of energy economic sector. To increase the share of e-car sales manufacturers need to know consumer preferences of their users, constantly analyze competitive differentiators and disadvantages of electric vehicles. This research work is aimed to study assessment factors for competitive differentiators of electric vehicles. The research work examines factors which have influence on process of making decisions to buy an electric vehicle. Technical characteristics of electric vehicles have been examined, comparison of internal combustion engine cars and electric vehicles made. The competitive advantages and disadvantages of electric vehicles have been determined. Collection and analysis of statistical data have been made. At the system analysis of scientific literature mathematical methods that are then applied in the work have been determined. On the basis of mathematical methods an econometric model for assessment of competitive differentiators of electric vehicle has been created. As a result, there has been developed an application that helps car users to make a choice of an electric car.
