Recommendations for Improving the Sustainable Development Strategy for LLC IKEA DOM

Nowadays many companies emphasize the need to implement the principles of sustainable development in corporate management. The Russian division of the multinational corporation IKEA is not an exception. IKEA DOM LLC is one of the leading companies in the Russian retail market of furniture and household goods. The sustainable development strategy is an important part of the company management. The quality of the implementation of strategic tasks affects the brand's reputation, relationships with stakeholders, financial and market stability. The purpose of this work is to develop recommendations for improving the strategy of sustainable development of IKEA DOM LLC. The object of the study is IKEA DOM LLC. The subject of the study is the strategy of sustainable development of IKEA DOM LLC. This work consists of two sections: the first chapter presents the theoretical foundations of strategic management of sustainable development, the second chapter is the practical part of the study. During the research, a number of tasks were performed to determine the principles of corporate sustainable strategic management and the approach to assess the effectiveness of such management, to identify the key characteristics, strengths and weaknesses of IKEA DOM LLC and its corporate sustainable development strategy. To analyze the current CSR activities of IKEA in Russia several methods were implemented: the Sustainability Assessment Model (SAM), GRI G4 standards, and an expert interview with the company's management in the field of sustainable development and business transformation. As a result, the goal of the work was achieved, and a number of recommendations were proposed to improve strategic sustainability management of IKEA.
