Smartphone App for Crafting Spatial Sound Installations

The industry of augmented reality application development has been developing rapidly over the past few years. More and more AR-oriented applications are being published, many of them focus on working with sound. However, functionality of such apps is often very limited. Moreover, such applications are designed to work only with one operational system. This work is dedicated to development of augmented reality app for spatial sound installations creation in real-time. The paper considers existing applications for spatial sound installations creation. A detailed description of AR Foundation for working with augmented reality is given. The work describes the method used to create spatial sound anchors in detail. The result of this work is an application that allows users to create unique sound compositions in augmented reality – spatial sound installations. The work contains 43 pages, 3 chapters, 19 figures, 6 code listings, 2 tables, 15 sources, 4 appendices.
