Development of a Set of Mesures to Improve the Profitability of MTS PJSC

This investigation deals with questions concerning financial condition of companies in telecommunication market. The results anticipated could lead to better estimates in financial reports of PJSC MTS. Using financial report of PJSC MTS and open-source data about market trends, the results are aimed to help telecommunication companies manage profitability more effectively. In my study data was collected and the most significant indicators were calculated with vertical and horizontal analysis. The purpose of this research was to develop a range of strategies in order to increase profitability of PJSC MTS according to their financial condition. The methods of research in this work are vertical, horizontal, coefficient, comparative, factor analysis, as well as generalization, systematization and forecasting. The coefficients for the vertical and horizontal assessment of the financial statements for all quarters from 2015 to 2020 were calculated. Based on these coefficients, the weak points of the company were highlighted. Results are based on current market trends and aggregated information from financial reports. Following various ways of development of the company, the strategies for improving financial condition of the company were developed. The information base of the analysis is the official financial statements of MTS PJSC and on the information from open sources about economic events that occurred during the reporting periods and had a direct or indirect impact on changes in the financial report. The processing and analysis of the information was based on calculations of the financial statements of MTS PJSC and the information from the Capital IQ database.
