Recommendations for Improving the Current Change Management System of "Sony Pictures Productions and Releasing" Company

The present study addresses some major issues in current change management practices in film project production. The general purpose of this work is to study challenges emerging in the process of managing changes in film projects and various practices of managing changes in the film industry in order to develop initiatives for responding to changes for the Russian branch of Sony Pictures company - Sony Pictures Production and Releasing. This goal will be achieved by analysis of literature sources in the field of change management for production companies and comparing existing practices of dealing with changes in Russian production companies, as well as holding qualitative interviews with 4 employees of Sony Pictures Production and Releasing company and determining the flaws of its current way of dealing with changes. The results of the study are the developed measures that are aimed at improving the current state of facing changes in planning film projects and their implementation in the researched company which will allow to provide a deeper understanding of the process of change management in Russian film industry.
