In the modern and rapidly developing world, it is very difficult to keep up with changing trends. Therefore, most companies prefer to work within a small business for greater flexibility and development, which helps to adapt to modern realities. However, there are a number of manufacturing companies that specialize in scaling and producing products that will always be relevant regardless of trends, but despite this, even such companies have problems because of which they do not survive in the industry, and their large competitor companies are gaining more and more power in the market. The main and primary problem of companies that leave the market due to bankruptcy is their lack of competitiveness. This is mainly due to unforeseen factors caused by the external environment. Information has an increasing impact on the performance of companies, precisely because there are always unforeseen risks, because of which the company can easily become bankrupt. Along with this, economic crises have a direct impact on the company, which also leads to its defeat. This is especially true in the modern world, where the speed of market changes has reached record highs, which is why companies need to be more prepared for new challenges. One of the main decisions that a company can come to is that in order to survive in the market, it is necessary to constantly improve the efficiency of its enterprise. Along with taking into account the environmental factors that affect the company's decisions, it is also important to keep an account of the internal environmental factors of the company itself (Maskell, 2019). Undoubtedly, the main results of operational management in a company are primarily the decisions made in the company, because they affect whether the company will function in the current situation or not. The external environment influences decision-making in the company, however, it is not the most important for a successful enterprise. The work of the company itself is the key to creating effective management. Because sometimes small problems in production generate large costs, which leads to the collapse of the company. The main approaches to operational management in the organization primarily come from 4 directions: functional, system, process and project (Maskell, 2019). The functional approach is characterized by its versatility and is primarily characteristic of organizations with a repetitive routine. There are five main functional areas in the organization: marketing, production, personnel, finance, and R & D. The functional managers themselves are given certain powers and responsibilities for personnel management. This approach is ideal for an enterprise with a repetitive production cycle, which automates and simplifies many processes. But the main disadvantage of this production is the optimization of only the production part, and not the company as a whole. System approach defines an organization as a well-functioning system (Maskell, 2019). Its effectiveness is determined by the interaction of all its parts with each other. However, in the case of the representation of the organization in the form of a system, it creates big problems in its optimization also because of the strong relationships. A flexible and simple system is much easier to change. A feature of the process approach is that the management is focused on the process parameters, and not on the work of the staff (Heizer, Render and Munson, 2019). This allows you to quickly rebuild the content of technological operations of the production process of goods and services to create maximum value for a specific group of consumers. At the same time, it is possible to save resources by eliminating the part of operations that result in the creation of properties of goods or services that are not in demand by this group of consumers. If the boundaries of process management are clearly defined, then it is considered that this is a business process, the implementation of which is carried out by a single team led by the "owner" of the business process. The business process team is characterized by a high level of motivation to achieve serious results. Thus, different approaches will help to form an understanding of what exactly this company needs in terms of optimizing production and increasing the efficiency of the enterprise.
