This final qualifying work is carried out to assess the effectiveness of the crisis centers for victims of domestic violence in Russia. According to WHO data on the global prevalence of violence, 35% of women experience one or more types of domestic violence. The spousal violence situation worsened during the pandemic and self-isolation in 2020. However, based on the studied literature, there is an insufficient number of crisis centers for women in Russia, and the existing ones face a number of barriers in providing assistance. At the same time, the activity of crisis centers has been little studied and there is no assessment of it. The structure of the main part of the work reveals the research objectives and corresponds to the logic of the work. The first chapter examines foreign research devoted to the study of assistance to victims of domestic violence from various organizations, including crisis centers. Due to the fact that the country's legislation is an important indicator in the work of crisis centers, the regulatory and legal framework of foreign countries and the Russian Federation, aimed at resolving the problem of domestic violence and helping women, has been studied. The second chapter examines the operation of crisis centers, assistance provided to victims of domestic violence, and the problems faced by the centers. The practice of foreign crisis centers, services provided to women, and indicators of successful assistance have been studied in order to identify criteria for assessing performance. The third chapter is devoted to the results of empirical research. In the course of qualitative content analysis, the needs of domestic violence women victims have been identified. Based on the conducted semi-structured interviews, the activity of crisis centers has been studied, according to the selected criteria, it has been assessed and compared with the needs of women. Based on the research results, a number of recommendations have been developed for crisis centers and public authorities.
