This paper explores money as a fantastic object and includes such processes as the turning of money from a pragmatic means of exchange into an object infused with an individual's unconscious fantasies. We also explore the processes by which a person can find themselves in co-dependent money relationships. Leaning on a psychoanalytical approach, we use statistical analysis to explore correlations between an individual's money attitudes and their financial satisfaction, their relationship to their parents and personal dyadic relationships. In the process of this work we confirmed an existence of a correlation between quality relationship with a father and financial satisfaction for women who took part in the study.
