Understanding factors affecting job satisfaction has been the main interest for different researches from various countries. However, there are few Russian works devoted to job satisfaction in the Russian labor market. Satisfaction depends on socio-demographic and organizational factors (job characteristics), such as gender, age, educational level, marital status, length of service, level of the position held. Job satisfaction needs to be studied as it is a good indicator of the workplace. In addition, satisfaction can affect employee performance and predict employee behavior. This work complements all previous researches on this topic. Probit regression and ordered probit regression with random effects on unbalanced panel data from RLMS-HSE for 2017-2019 were created. It was found that age, region of residence, official position held and length of service are significant factors that can influence an individual's satisfaction. Also, women were found to be more satisfied with their jobs than men. In further studies, it is necessary to consider models with dynamic dependent variables, as well as whether satisfaction varies depending on the professional groups of individuals, regions and industries.
