The research “Disease Risk Factors: A Case of Diabetes” is conducted under Gazprom Neft draft “Assessment of Occupational Diseases risks of Industrial Enterprise employees”. The aim of the study is to identify the main risk factors of type 2 diabetes mellitus development among Russian working-age population (18-65 years old). The obtained results are necessary for further evaluation of the investment attractiveness of measures to prevent one of the most common diseases and reduce the associated financial costs of the company. It is important to consider national mentality features because previous foreign studies have population uncertainty. Therefore, the detected factors will be checked within the Russian population by RLMS-HSE data by performing a regression analysis. It was found out that women are more likely to get the disease than men. High blood pressure, BMI, weight loss, diets, BAA, stress, age, living in a large city (regional center) increase the risk of the disease in the Russian working-age population. Increased income, physical activity, and regular nutrition do not have an impact, unlike the foreign results. As an outcome of the study, the problem of population uncertainty regarding Russia is solved, but the problem of undiagnosed diabetes remains around the world.
