This master's thesis is devoted to the study of the connection between emotional burnout (EB) and public service motivation (PSM) among the students of "Public Administration". The chosen topic is relevant because up to the present moment models of emotional burnout and public service motivation have been studied separately, and those studies that focused on the between EB and PSM most often chose civil servants, medical workers, etc. as objects of research. The structure of the study consists of several parts: an introduction, two chapters, a conclusion, a list of references, and an appendix. The first chapter describes theoretical aspects of public service motivation, emotional burnout, specifics of public service motivation among civil servants, the studies of the connection between EB and PSM. The second chapter is devoted to the empirical analysis of the topic of this master's thesis. A survey was conducted and further analysis was carried out using methods of mathematical statistics. The students of «Public Administration» (PA) in "Higher School of Economics" (HSE) were chosen as the object of research. A total of 100 questionnaires were sent, out of which 63 questionnaires were received back. The conducted research allowed to prove that: 1. high level of PSM among PA students is negatively connected with high level of emotional burnout (the higher level of PSM, the lower level of EB among PA students); 2. level of emotional burnout of students is connected with satisfaction with studying and readiness to recommend studying in PA direction (the higher level of emotional burnout, the lower level of satisfaction with studying and readiness to recommend studying in PA direction); 3. PA students with high level PSM demonstrate greater satisfaction with the learning process and readiness to work in public sector in comparison with students with low level of PSM. The obtained data can be used for expanding theoretical information in the field of PSM and for better understanding of students' emotional burnout. The results of the research can be useful for correction of emotional burnout and increase of motivation level for public service among the students of Public Administration
