Nowadays people's health is becoming a strategic priority for companies due to the fact that a good state of health of the working-age population increases productivity and contributes to economic growth. This work is devoted to the study of risk factors for cardiovascular diseases, which are one of the most common causes of death in the working-age population worldwide. The RLMS HSE was used as a main data source. The analysis uses logistic regression to assess the relationship between risk factors and stroke onset. The results showed that the main prerequisites for the onset of strokes, on the example of the Russian population, are the presence of concomitant diseases, bad habits, in particular smoking, and adverse psychosocial conditions: stress, anxiety, depression. Based on the results obtained, potential preventive measures were proposed to level the risk factors. The results obtained can be applied in making strategic decisions that contribute to the growth of companies' efficiency. Key words: risk factors, cardiovascular disease, efficiency, preventive measures
