By covering the same event, social networks can convey different images of the same situation. The purpose of my research is to study the features of building images of politicians in the media on the example of several sources of information with different political orientation. To achieve this goal, a pool of digital sources was selected based on the rating of the Medialogy, on the basis of which the analysis was conducted. Since it was supposed to work with a text array, text mining was chosen as the data collection method, and thematic modeling was chosen as the analysis method. These methods allowed to analyze the text array analytically using mathematical operations and make meaningful conclusions based on it. As a result, it was possible to obtain constructed images of the selected politicians, as well as to compare them in the context of the selected sources of information of different political orientations. The first section of this paper presents theoretical and empirical prerequisites aimed at identifying the features of the media environment under study. The second part is devoted to the methodological basis of the work. And the final part covers the results and ways of further development of the study.
