New Business and Investment Opportunities of Crypto Industry: the Case of NTF Technology

The NFT technology has recently broken into the industry of digital assets bringing along the whole new classification of these assets. Each NFT class possesses its individual set of properties and possible ways of implementing it for business and investment. The following paper aims at recapping the already existing and future trends of NFT technology use for business and establishing the correlation in prices between particular NFT classes markets within the industry, namely the “Collectibles” and “NFT digital art”. The series of regression analysis have shown the substantial correlation between these two classes making them a bad option for investment portfolio diversification, excluding some cases mentioned in the results of the second hypothesis testing. Some representatives of “NFT digital art class” have acquired a high level of appreciation associated with the acknowledgement of an artist, who has created them, which makes them less reliant on the trends of the other NFT class market.
