The purpose of my research is to identify how the Russian media constructs the idea of economic problems in Russia caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Tasks: 1. Consider the dynamics of reports on coronavirus by month and day in the selected publications, as well as the share of such reports in the total number of publications per month. 2. Identify the main actors who are involved in the construction of the image of the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic in the Russian media. 3. Identify and describe the main frames that are found in Russian media reports on the economic problems caused by the coronavirus. 4. Identify the tone of reports about economic problems caused by Covid-19 in the Russian media. As a result of the study: 1 hypothesis-not confirmed, the share of news devoted to economic problems caused by the coronavirus is significantly less than expected. Perhaps this was due to the need to support the population and give them more positive news against the background of such a massive problem. 2 hypothesis-partially confirmed, the population is not the main actor-compared to other categories, this group is much less common. 3 hypothesis-confirmed and supplemented with other frames, such as fake news or regional issues. 4 hypothesis-not confirmed-the connection between the actors and the tone was not found, but in the most positive news, the main actor is the representatives of the authorities.
