Emotions induced in laboratory conditions, are often weak and last for short time and the results can not be generalized to real-life conditions. Virtual reality can be used as a method of inducing emotions to overcome these limitations. In this work 45 VR panoramas were used to induce positive, negative and neutral emotions. Psychological and physiological methods were used to estimate induced emotions. The main limitation of our work was the absence of very unpleasant pictures, which were not foundю Overall, we can conclude that the paradigm of 360-degree panoramas resulted to be more effective in order to evoke greater peripheral emotional activity. The size of effect in our experiments was higher than in previous works with 2D stimuli.
