Technologies for Building Competitive Intelligence Systems in Organizations

Organizations now have to operate in a highly competitive environment, economic instability and a changing political environment. In addition, enterprises carry out their activities under the influence of three key factors of the external macroenvironment of business: in conditions of a lack of information, rapid changes and in the presence of the effect of globalization. Under such circumstances, the management of organizations faces the problem of timely obtaining the necessary information to make the right management decisions. In these conditions, the organization's management system lacks a function, the main task of which would be to analyze the external environment of the enterprise, focused on finding key information, identifying risks, threats and factors affecting the company's competitiveness. In this regard, the question of creating a competitive intelligence function in the organization becomes relevant. The object of the research is the functioning of the competitive intelligence system in the organization. The subject of the research is the approaches to the implementation of the competitive intelligence function in various organizations. The purpose of the study is to identify possible ways to integrate the competitive intelligence function into the organization's management system and ensure its effective functioning, to find rational ways to build a competitive intelligence system in an organization. Based on this goal, the following tasks were set and solved: - the conceptual apparatus of the topic under study has been determined; - considered the range of tasks that competitive intelligence solves in various organizations; - Russian and international companies were analyzed for the presence of a competitive intelligence function in them; - the place and role of competitive intelligence in the organizational structure of the company is determined, the differences between the function of competitive intelligence from marketing and security are highlighted; - calculated the financial costs required to create a separate personnel unit for the competitive intelligence unit in the company; - highlighted the stages and proposed technologies for creating a competitive intelligence function in organizations. Key concepts: business intelligence, competitive intelligence, commercial intelligence, economic intelligence; organizational design, management technologies.
