This master thesis aims at describing universal quantification in Poshkart Chuvash. Firstly, based on field data, I will consider the morphosyntactic properties of universal quantifiers and their semantics. Secondly, the competition of possible strategies encoding a collective meaning with numerals will be analyzed. Namely, I will compare the use of universal quantifiers, the additive particle ta and definite markers with numerals in Poshkart Chuvash. Finally, the last part will be devoted to compatibility of an additive particle with various universal quantifiers in Poshkart Chuvash, as well as corpus-based comparison of the use of additives with universal quantifiers in other languages.
