The Temple of Olympian Zeus in Acragas in the Context of the Cultural Relations of the Ancient Mediterranean

The subject of research is the architecture of the temple of Olympian Zeus in Acragas (480 BC). This monument is exceptional in several respects: firstly, it is the largest Greek temple of the Doric order; secondly, it is first the first time where architectural "telamons" are used in architecture; thirdly, the temple was fenced off combination of a colonnade and a wall. The aim of the study is to analyze the architecture of the Temple of Olympian Zeus in the context of the antique architecture of the Mediterranean.
