The paper examines the concept of a linguistic personality and its relationship with the categories of idiostyle and idiolect. Various approaches to the definition and study of these concepts are characterized. The most important part of the work is the study of the linguistic features of intensifier words in the Russian language, an assessment of their potential for the purpose of identifying a linguistic personality. A list of intensifier words is compiled, their classification, which is valuable for solving various theoretical and applied problems, is developed. The absolute frequencies of occurrence of intensifiers are calculated in the selected material, represented by the texts of three discourses: network journalism, network literature, fiction. The resulting values are then converted to relative IPM frequencies. The analysis of the material is based on the calculation of such statistical criteria as Pearson's linear correlation coefficient and Student's t-test in order to determine the role of intensifiers in the structure of a linguistic personality.
