The Covid-19 Impact on the Declared Dividends of Russian Companies

This paper examines the impact of various factors on the dividend policy using the statistical method of difference in differences (DID) on the example of the dividend policies of Russian companies and industries that were affected by the economic problems associated with Covid-19. The analysis found the impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the influence of the major investor and state participation on the dividend policy during the Covid-19 using the triple DID. The method of difference-in-differences with covariates was also used to maintain the parallel trends between the control and experimental groups.
