As a result of the meeting, it was decided to introduce a new schedule for dining venues. Now, they will be open from 9 am to 8 pm on workdays and from 9 am to 5 pm on Saturdays. The set lunch time will now be from 11.50 am to 4 pm. The new schedule will be introduced gradually, depending on the capabilities of each café.

It has also been decided to expand the range of healthy and vegetable dishes; to make sure there are popular meals after 6 pm; to include take-away foods; and to expand the set menus and the range of meals offered after 4 pm at cafes on Shabolovka, 20 Myasnitskaya, Maly Tryokhsvyatitelsky, Malaya Ordynka and Bolshaya Ordynka. During the survey, the students also expressed a need for bank cards to be accepted at cafes. It has been decided to work on this problem.

‘In addition to that, the member of Student Councils at faculties will be able to take part in Catering Commissions’, said Daria Fokina, chair of the HSE Student Council, ‘The Commissions will operate at all HSE buildings that have catering points. The work at commissions is voluntary. The cafeterias will be inspected for the range of meals, quality of products, cleanliness of rooms, etc, every three months.'

In future, the HSE Student Council plans to collect suggestions from students related to new cafeterias, including those at Dubki dorm, building on Staraya Basmannaya, and Shabolovka.
