Join International Study Tour Experience 2019/20

HSE Study Tour Experience welcomes applications from third- and fourth-year undergraduate students who wish to learn more about HSE University and its Master’s programme offerings. The programme duration is from January 27 to February 9, 2020 at HSE University Moscow. The deadline to apply is December 30, 2019.

Over the course of two weeks, participants of Study Tour Experience will have the opportunity to sit in on courses taught by HSE faculty and become part of HSE student life, while exploring various opportunities the university offers. What’s more, the study tour is also a great opportunity to visit Moscow and immerse yourself in Russian culture.

I am originally from Kyrgyzstan but now I’m doing my Bachelor’s at Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. I would like to earn a Master’s in Financial Economics from HSE University. I therefore applied for Study Tour Experience to learn more about HSE. An opportunity to explore Moscow was a nice bonus.

During the two weeks of the study tour, we attended various lectures and seminars. It was possible to choose Russian or English-taught courses in different subjects. In addition, I was able to go to two major conferences held at HSE University where I heard prominent businessmen Boris Titov and Alexander Frolov speak about their business ventures.

I can say that these two weeks have changed my outlook on life. I’ve come to realize that the world needs ambitious, goal-oriented, and determined people. The trip was a very positive and memorable experience. I had a lot of fun. 

I was quite impressed by student life at HSE University – it appears that there are tons of student clubs and activities. There are also a lot of international students at HSE University, which is great. I met many interesting people during my time in Moscow and we still keep in touch. We stayed at the HSE dorms in the city centre. I shared a room with two other students. The accommodation was quite comfortable and nice.

All in all, I can say that Study Tour Experience is an excellent opportunity to get a taste of studying at HSE University and living in Moscow. I strongly recommend the programme to everyone.
