The survey involved over 55,000 students from each of the 331 undergraduate, specialist, and master's educational programs across all four campuses of HSE University.
A total of 4,539 academic courses and 614 practical training elements, as well as the work of 6,055 instructors and practical training supervisors, were evaluated. In total, students submitted 3,002,186 ratings based on various criteria and left 391,832 substantive text comments, including:

  • 156,722 comments on the content of courses and practical training elements;
  • 205,117 comments on the work of instructors and practical training supervisors;
  • 18,440 comments on current courses, the assessment for which will take place in subsequent modules;
  • 11,553 comments on the general organization of the educational process — the content of programs overall, the work of academic offices, academic supervisors, university services, etc.

Presented below is the average number of comments left per student in December 2025, by HSE University faculties (excluding comments on minor disciplines, university-wide fundamental courses, and other parts of the educational process not related to the degree programs):

Over the past week, the SET results have been distributed specifically to university staff for their careful review:

  • staff of academic offices received general comments regarding the organization of the educational process within their programs;
  • academic supervisors received all feedback related to their programs;
  • heads of departments and chairs received all feedback concerning their courses and instructors;
  • faculty deans received summaries regarding both their students, instructors and courses.

Today, the SET results have also been published in the system and became available to instructors in their personal accounts on the HSE LMS platform. More information on how to access the ratings can be found here, and guidance on how best to approach interpreting the received data can be found here.

※ Instructors whose contract with HSE University has already ended and who do not have access to the information systems may currently contact the managers of the department or program where they taught to obtain the results.

☆ This academic year, as part of the SET, a pilot evaluation of teaching assistants is being implemented. In modules 1–2, this involved teaching assistants from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the HSE-NES (New Economic School) Joint Bachelor's Program. In total, 233 assistants were evaluated during the semester, who received 2,691 substantive comments. This is an important initiative, as it provides assistants with a unique opportunity to review structured feedback. This experience will allow them to improve current practices and prepare for future professional teaching.

Regular feedback from students enables the university to obtain a sufficiently accurate, empirically based understanding of the educational process and to consider it in further planning of educational policy.
