Dear colleagues! We invite you to take part in the II International Scientific Conference «Interaction, integration, inclusion in times of social disruptions»

The conference will be held on November 2-3, 2022. The conference is organized by the International Laboratory for Social Integration Research, National Research University “Higher School of Economics".

In times of global conflicts, social division and value polarization of society, a conversation about transformations of life trajectories, reassembly of identities and restructuring of responsibility can become a basis to search for the new foundations and forms of social integration. Social justice, inclusion and diversity become key conditions for survival and coping with the challenges of the deep crises affecting all aspects of our lives, changing our past, present and future.

The analysis of social integration and inclusion requires taking into account both the spatial dimension of social integration/disintegration, including intersectional studies of the factors and effects of social inequalities and the assessment of prospects for intersectoral partnerships in the development of inclusive practices, and a temporal perspective that allows assessing patterns of integration/disintegration in historical development and in the processes of radical change.

The following sections are planned:

• Identity reassembly in the era of social disruptions: foundations, practices, legitimation regimes
• Professional and organizational communities: socio-cultural disruption and prospects for inclusive reassembly of the labor sphere
• New social inequalities in the era of digitalization
• (Non)inclusive living environment: modalities of urban citizenship
• Corporate citizenship as an actual tool for overcoming social exclusion
• The potential of public initiatives to achieve inclusion: new challenges and opportunities
• (Non)discontinuity of inclusion: education, employment, social protection
• Changing representations of otherness in a disintegrated media environment
• Interculturalism in the processes of educational inclusion: transformations of ideology, politics and practices
• Artificial intelligence in social integration: risks and benefits
• Well-being, reproductive trends, health in the context of socio-economic and cultural transformations
• Social work in a divided society: mission, strategies, practices in times of crisis
• The Welfare State in the era of social gaps

Specialists developing the theory and practice of social integration, researchers of inequality and exclusion, inclusion experts in Russia and abroad are invited to participate in the conference: scientists, consultants, practitioners implementing inclusive programs, students and postgraduates, representatives of public organizations and businesses dealing with issues of inclusion in various spheres of life.

The conference will be held in a mixed format: face-to-face and remotely using an online platform.

Following the results of the conference, it is planned to prepare a thematic issue of the Journal of Social Policy Research (Scopus Q2). All selected materials will be reviewed anonymously, the decision on publication is made by the editorial board.

• Consideration of applications by the Organizing Committee of the conference - until September 1
• Publication of the conference program on the ML ISI website - until October 10
