Media Image of a Person with a Disability in Modern Russian Media

Olga Verbilovich and Elena Yarskaya-Smirnova presented on May 27, 2021 at the round table 'Media image of a person with a disability in modern Russian media,' organized by ANO "Center for Social Projects 'MIX.'

At the round table, questions were raised about the trends in the representation of people with disabilities in the public sphere, the ethics of representations, the role of people with disabilities in the formation of new metaphors and collective identities in the public space. The meeting was attended by the researchers, bloggers, activists, journalists. As a result of the discussion, it was decided to develop a manual with recommendations for media professionals.
