AUD students are working on their thesis projects in groups led by Theo Deutinger and Anastasia Smirnova
Theo Deutinger, urban planner, urban mapping expert, founder of TD Architects, and 2014 Strelka education program director met with his students to discuss their final projects. The students’ work will be organised in two studios, Prototypes and Systems, and each studio will develop a project brief in consultations with the group leader. The goal of the studios is to promote integrity in the final projects by developing them in two directions. Theo Deutinger is the leader of the Prototypes studio, while Anastasia Smirnova, the academic supervisor of the Advanced Urban Design program, coordinates the Systems studio.Recently, Theo Deutinger presented his latest book ‘Handbook of Tyranny’ which gives insight into the relationship between political power, territoriality, and systematic cruelties.
