Master’s Programme 'Socioeconomic and Political Development of Modern Asia'

This programmes trains young researchers to conduct interdisciplinary research, employing up-to-date methodologies to study the interaction of issues of politics, economics, sociology, culture, ethnicity, religions, and linguistics with regards to Asian countries and peoples. The programme enables students to hone their knowledge and skills, preparing them for international careers in academia, diplomacy, or with non-governmental and governmental corporations. The programme has a partnership with City University of Hong Kong.

On 26-27 November 2020, the VIII International Scientific Conference of Young Orientalists on the theme "East Asia: Past, Present and Future" was held at the Institute of Far East Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences in online format.
