On May 21-22, 2021 The School of Oriental Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics of the Higher School of Economics invites undergraduate and graduate students, postgraduates and young scientists to participate in the VIII Scientific student conference «Eastern Perspective»

Applications for participation in the VIII Scientific Student Conference «Eastern Perspective»

The conference covers issues related to the development of Japan, China, the States of the Korean Peninsula and the Arab countries. It is planned to work in separate sections on the Middle and Far East and North Africa, within which the following subject areas will be considered: history, culture, politics, economics, international relations. On the first day of the conference, on May 21, 2021, a round table in English «East - West: politics, economy, society» will be held for undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students, on the second day, on May 22, 2021, a meeting in Russian for undergraduate students of all courses will take place.

Applications for participation in the conference are accepted in the online form until May 14, 2021 inclusive. The application requirements can be found here. For nonresident speakers, there is the possibility of remote participation. Those who wish to participate in the conference remotely indicate this in their online application. The Conference Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject applications without giving reasons.

The preliminary program of the conference will be published on the Conference website no later than May 16, 2021.

The authors of the reports recognized as the best at the end of the conference will receive appropriate certificates and the opportunity to publish their article in the collection "Eastern Perspective". For the reports that took the 2nd and 3rd place in the sections, an online publication of abstracts is provided.
