Professor Mehmet Biljin (Istanbul Medeniyet University) Open Lecture

On Wednesday, September 12, the first lecture of the cycle of open events of the Faculty of World Economy and International Relations took place.

The chairman of the Association of Economists of Istanbul, the head of the conferences of the Eurasian Community of Business and Economics (EBES), Professor Mehmet Biljin of Istanbul Medeniyet University became the first guest of the event. Professor Biljin briefly described Turkey's current position in the world economy (the 13th economy in the world and the 5th economy in Eastern Europe), outlined the most important points of strategic development and the problems that Turkey faced in the 21st century. In professor's opinion peculiarities of the Turkish economy are the stable growth of GDP and independence from international banks, loans to which Turkey paid back in 2013.
