The Bali International Student Festival 2021

The global changes that have occurred in connection with the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic have had a significant impact on the lives of modern people. According to world research, the most affected groups were people aged 18-30 years. The pandemic, the painful impact of which is still being felt to this day, affected their employment, education and mental health.

In order to develop measures to minimize the negative consequences of Covid-19, the Indonesian Youth Foundation held the Bali International Student Festival 2021 from July 15 to 18. The discussions of the event were divided into several areas: digital economy, technology, mental health, education, tourism, culture and youth empowerment. In addition, the organizers held educational webinars with leading experts in these areas.

Potential participants had to fill out a form, as well as provide a motivation letter. The Commission selected about 200 applications. Aisylu Garaeva, a 1st-year master's student of the direction “Socio-economic and political development of modern Asia", was honored to participate in such a global youth event in the summer of 2021. During the festival, the HSE student, together with other delegates, pondered on the difficulties of the digital economy during this period. Subsequently, the team of Aisylu Garaeva was awarded a high rating by the expert jury.

We congratulate Aisyla on this achievement and wish her further success in her research activities!
