Analyzes and compares the system of legislation and other normative legal acts regulating the sphere of professional activity (knows the essence and content of the basic concepts, categories, institutions of constitutional, administrative, business, labor, municipal law). |

Explains the specifics of the activities of religious associations, ethical and moral norms of behavior adopted in interaction with representatives of various religious associations, in the process of communication is able to take these aspects into account in a comprehensive manner. |

Analyzes and compares literature, normative and legal documents to solve problems of interaction with religious associations. |

Applies legal norms in accordance with the principles of professional ethics of a lawyer and in accordance with the specifics of the activities of religious associations. |

Applies and owns the methodology of research activities in the field of jurisprudence and theology, methods of collecting, processing, analyzing and interpreting complex information using modern technologies (including information and legal systems) for the purposes of professional, research activities. |

As a result of studying on the program “Church, Society and State. Legal regulation of the activities of religious associations” (from the 2023-2024 academic year the program was renamed to “State-confessional relations. Legal regulation of the activities of religious associations”) students must master the professional competencies:
1 Able to develop methodological tools, theoretical models and information materials for the implementation of research, analytical and consulting, project activities in the field of legal regulation of the activities of religious associations.
2 Able to improve theoretical and methodological approaches and research methods, including methods for collecting, analyzing and interpreting legal information.
3 Able to identify the needs and interests of society and its individual groups, to propose mechanisms for their coordination with each other with legal argumentation.
4 Able to develop proposals and recommendations for legal expertise.
5 Able to disseminate legal knowledge, advise employees of religious associations in resolving issues of their activities.
6 Able to assess the legal consequences of the program and project activities of government bodies; conduct legal expertise of programs, projects, normative and legal acts, methodological materials.

8 Able to use in professional activities the basic requirements of information security.
9 Able to take into account social and multicultural differences to solve problems in the field of legal regulation of the activities of religious associations.
The content of the curriculum is based on the implementation of the principle of systematic immersion in the problems of relations between the church, society and the state, as well as the legal regulation of the activities of religious organizations and associations.
The module "Key seminars" presents four interconnected research seminars that form both systemic and professional competencies of students research seminar "Actual interdisciplinary research in the field of jurisprudence, theology and canon law: theory and methodology"

• Возможность в рамках совместного сетевого образовательного проекта одновременно освоить два направления магистратуры «Юриспруденция» (НИУ ВШЭ) и «Теология» (христианство) по профилю «Каноническое право» (ОЦАД)
• Возможность продолжения обучения в ведущих образовательных организациях мира по программам PhD в области юриспруденции, канонического права и теологии, включая партнерские университеты НИУ ВШЭ и ОЦАД
• Уникальная команда ведущих преподавателей НИУ ВШЭ и ОЦАД, специализирующихся в области юриспруденции, теологии, канонического права и правового регулирования деятельности религиозных объединений;
• Наличие в структуре программы научно-исследовательских семинаров и проектов по актуальным проблемам государственно-конфессиональных отношений
• Возможность прохождения практики в юридических службах религиозных объединений, в том числе в Правовой службе Московской патриархии
• Преподавание отдельных курсов на английском языке
This degree programme of HSE University is adapted for students with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. Special assistive technology and teaching aids are used for collective and individual learning of students with SEN and disabilities.
