The International Seminar «ESG Transformation: The Challenges for Emerging Capital Markets»

On the 8th and 9th of December, the School of Finance successfully hosted the international seminar “ESG Transformation: Challenges in Emerging Markets”

Ion Frecautan presented his research at the World Finance Conference, in Norway at the University of Agder

Ion Frecautan, 3rd year PhD student with School of Finance participated at the World finance Conference hosted by the University of Adger in Kristiansand, Norway from August 2-4. He had the privilege to the share the results of the paper called “Is Corporate governance important for green bonds in the emerging capital markets?” coauthored with professor Irina Ivashkovskaya.

Main trends of ESG development in Russia, what has changed after February 2022

Last week RBK organized the second congress for sustainable business called “ESG (R) Evolution”. The pool of the topics was rather wide including current challenges of ESG transformation and the future development of ESG initiatives for a wide range of stakeholders in new reality. The congress hosted speakers and representatives from public and private sectors that have a diverse activity profile with significant impact on social and environmental spheres.

Large online courses will become even more popular since the quality and accessibility of education is rising. They will not, however, replace traditional in-person interactions between student and teacher. This was the conclusion of participants in the eSTARS 2018 international academic conference on the present and future of online education. HSE and the online learning platform Coursera teamed up to host the event in Moscow on December 5-6.

International Council Recognizes HSE as Leader in Project 5-100

The Higher School of Economics was recognized as a leader among Project 5-100 universities following a recent session held by the Council on Competitiveness Enhancement of Leading Russian Universities among Global Research and Education Centers. The session took place in Yekaterinburg on October 27-28 and was chaired by Olga Golodets, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia.
