The seminar " p<0.05 or p≥0.05, that is the question" by Tadamasa Sawada, PhD

To publish any paper in a scientific journal, the paper should be with a significant result, "p < 0.05". You cannot publish anything unless it satisfies this condition. However, recent studies clearly show that there are problems in statistics and practice in Experimental Psychology. The problems are real, rampant, and attributed to our research practice both in individual and society levels. I will review recent studies of meta-analysis that pointing out the problems and will discuss what/how we should study in Psychology.

When: 16:40~18:00 on Sep/27 (27,09, Tuesday)

Where: Room #109
