“Cognitive science and technologies: from neuron to cognition” at the HSE Winter School 2017

January 31th the Winter School of the HSE Faculty of Social Studies was held outside Moscow city. It was a chance for prospective master’s students to learn about the opportunities of HSE master’s programs and their study process, to meet the teachers and ask relevant questions
This year the Winter School was held in the form of group presentations of all the programs, with each prese…ntation taking 2,5 hour. Like at the previous Winter Schools, all master’s programs of the Department of Psychology took part: Family system psychotherapy, Consultant psychology, Measurement in psychology and education, Psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, Cognitive sciences and technologies and Applied social psychology, the latter two being the only two programs taught in English. After all the presentations students attended a special session dedicated to the application process and career opportunities for HSE masters.
Cognitive sciences and technologies presentation took almost 2 hours and a half, as prospective students had many questions to ask. Most of attention was focused on the program’s study process and research activity, as well as further career at HSE.
