Professional Activities and Competencies of Programme Graduates

The Master's program "Corporate Law" is aimed at training a new type of lawyer that meets the requirements of the transition from the existing qualification model to the competence model, which is currently being formed within the framework of the Bologna process, is becoming a universal model for building higher education in European countries and the basis for the transition to educational standards third generation in Russia. We focus on the competence-based model of training a lawyer working in a corporation, who, in his ideal state, should have:

-fundamental knowledge necessary for the implementation of their professional abilities in any conditions of economic activity, the development of corporations, as well as adaptation to the requirements of the market of qualified personnel;

-innovative abilities for further professional growth, which is necessary in the context of the transition to innovative business models and the national economy, optimization of legal reality, generation of knowledge;

-skills and techniques for concentrating resources on solving specific tasks, formulated in a given place and time;

-qualitative characteristics corresponding to world standards in the profession and "recognition" of the professional qualities of graduates by foreign employers.

It can be assumed that this approach will make our program an attractive vocational training center for Russian and foreign students. Our efforts in the Program are focused on the formation of different types of competencies:

-social and personal, inherent in a person as an individual and necessary for a professional lawyer to conduct negotiation processes, build the work of a structural unit, interact with colleagues within the corporation and in the professional society as a whole; in this competence, a lawyer needs knowledge of organizational psychology, management theory, etc;

-general professional, associated with the ability to solve professional problems formed by the student through the targeted organization of institutional legal material, which involves the combination and simultaneous analysis of different legal institutions, the search, formation, and selection of legal means by which one can solve certain problems;

- special, providing a binding to a specific object, subject of labor and involving the formation of skills in practical work in certain areas, solving problems of law enforcement and legal qualifications.

-In the process of studying under this program, the student must acquire the professional competencies necessary for the implementation of:

-expert and consulting activities, consisting in the preparation of opinions on normative acts and acts of their interpretation;

-organizational and managerial activity in the form of the ability to make optimal managerial decisions and perceive managerial innovations;

-research activities in the form of independent research;

Programme Modules

The program was developed as a new educational product aimed at the formation of fundamentally new legal competencies in Russia, such as solving problems requiring an integrated approach and the ability to solve complex problems. techniques and methods of legal support for the goals and objectives of the effective development of corporations. The master's program is structured in such a way as to ensure the solution of key tasks, without the implementation of which it is impossible to correctly navigate in professional legal activity, innovations, and trends in the development of the profession, and one cannot seriously claim to develop a professional career as a lawyer. For this, working curricula are discussed annually and, if necessary, updated by the Academic Council of the program, which includes lawyers, practicing in various fields of professional activity, including graduates of the program. This ensures the inclusion of relevant and practically useful courses in the curricula, as well as a certain continuity. In order to increase the efficiency of the educational process and the formation of students' professional competencies corresponding to the direction "Legal Studies", educational programs provide for the inclusion of a cycle of disciplines of the direction and the basic part of the cycle of disciplines of the program/specialization in the professional educational cycle.

Options for Students with Disabilities

This degree programme of HSE University is adapted for students with special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities. Special assistive technology and teaching aids are used for collective and individual learning of students with SEN and disabilities. The specific adaptive features of the programme are listed in each subject's full syllabus and are available to students through the online Learning Management System.
