Participation of Nikita Gryazin and Daria Malyutina at the conference about European security
On Wednesday and Thursday, September 26-27, 2018, Master Students and CCEIS Research Assistants Nikita Gryazin and Daria Malyutina took part in the student conference “European security: current trends and approaches to strengthening security”.
The conference was organized by The Information Centre for International Security in cooperation with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and NATO Information Office in Moscow.
Daria presented to the participants of the conference her research on “Transformation of transatlantic relations as a factor of instability of the European security system: challenges and ways to resolve the crisis”. Nikita presented his main ideas and points of his future paper entitled “Prospects of US policy in Europe”. At conference there were many Russian and foreign experts, such as Alexey Gromyko (President of the Association for European studies, Moscow), Andrey Zagorsky (MGIMO Professor, Head of the Department for disarmament and conflict resolution of IMEMO RAS), Sergey Utkin (head of the strategic assessment sector of IMEMO RAS), Sergey Markedonov (expert of the Russian Council for international Affairs), Antonio Sandri (acting head of the Military liaison mission of NATO in Moscow), Frederick van Kerrebrouck (First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Moscow) and Stefan Cordes (Deputy chief of the political Department of the German Embassy in Moscow).
The participants had a fruitful two days, they exchanged contacts and actively discussed with each other and with experts on the topic of the conference.
