On 1^st and 2^nd   December the second International Scientific and Practical Conference ‘Strategies of Intercultural Communication in the Modern World: Culture, Education, politics’ took place. Researchers and foreign language teachers shared relevant linguistic research and highlighted new trends in the theory and practice of TFL.Postgraduate students shared their impressions on the event and told us about their volunteer experience.

On the 11th of November, HSE School of Foreign Languages celebrated "Novemberfest" which has already become a good tradition.

Over 40 faculty members and MA students of Department of Foreign Languages got together on the first day of autumn break, October 24th, to take part in the workshop on teaching ESAP (English for Specific Academic Purposes).

A master’s student of the the HSE School of Foreign Languages Ekaterina Borisova took part in Radboud Summer School offered by the Radboud University Nijmegen (Netherlands).

On June, 24 the “Foreign Languages and Cross-cultural Сommunication” programme students took part in an annual summer festival held by the Goethe Institute “Sommerfest” dedicated to German culture, language and music.

Marina Chashko, HSE student on Master’s Programme in Foreign Languages and Cross-cultural  Communication, has participated in the first University Model United Nations in Venice as a representative of the New Zealand delegation in the Social, Humanitarian and Cultural Committee. Marina has talked about her experience and explained why taking part in MUN is critical for all young people interested in the current international situation, even for linguists.
