Requirements

The examination committee evaluates the portfolio and additional information on a 100-point scale based on the submitted documents. The positions for which the assessment takes place are following.

1. Basic education

The portfolio should include copies of a document on higher education (bachelor’s, specialist or master’s diploma) and a diploma insert with information about academic performance. If at the time of submission of documents the applicant does not yet have documents on higher education, then the applicant must attach the current certificate of academic performance.

a. List of favorite courses.

From the general list of disciplines for the entire higher education period, the commission forms a list of 10 courses in the field of mathematics, computer sciences, natural sciences, according to which (as a sum of grades) an educational score is determined (maximum 50).

b, c. The degree of compliance of the education received by the applicant with the specific profile and level of requirements of this master's program is taken into account.

2. Scientific activity and self-education

a. Published or accepted for publication articles of the applicant on the profile of the master's program. Reports at scientific conferences or seminars on the profile of the master's program.

b. Participation in academic projects according to the profile of the program. For example, participation in scientific grants, work in laboratories, participation in research projects, author's computer programs created by the applicant.

It is confirmed by providing: a reprint of an article or certificate from the editorial office, certificate, open source links, links to the conference website, published abstracts of the report, certificates from the project manager with full contact details.

c. Motivation letter on the subject of self-education and professional achievements.

Letter in English (0.5-2 p.). It may contain a description of scientific interests, studied scientific literature, the achievements of the applicant (including high school period), the reasons for choosing this master's program and the degree of priority of admission to it.

3. Personal achievements of the applicant

a. Successful participation in olympiads according to the program profile, including victories at olympiads in high school, at competitions of scientific works on the program profile, nominal scholarships for scientific and educational achievements.

It is confirmed by providing copies of diplomas (certificates) or an Internet link to the list of winners of the competition.

b. Diplomas and certificates of additional training in the profile of the program, participation in scientific schools, etc.

Confirmed by a copy of the document, or a link to an Internet source.

4. Recommendations

a. General recommendation for admission to a specific master's program.

b. Scientific recommendation that evaluates the research qualities and success of an applicant.

These recommendations should be presented by two different scientists with a degree not lower than a candidate of science or PhD in the program profile. It should contain complete information about the author of the recommendation: science degree, position, email address.
