"Technologies of effective recruitment" - secrets of a professional

On December 16, within the the course "Modern HR Technologies" for students of the master's programme "Psychology in Business" a workshop "Technologies of effective recruitment" was held. The workshop was conducted by the head of the Recruitment and Evaluation department of the Academy of Rostekh Khudobina Ekaterina.

On the master's program "Business Psychology" great attention is paid to practical aspects of education. "Take and do" - the motto of the program,  implemented in conducting workshops by professionals in various fields, where students get acquainted with specific techniques, techniques, approaches to solve various business problems.This time, a workshop dedicated to effective recruitment technologies was conducted by an invited specialist, an expert in the search, selection and evaluation of managers and CEO for the automotive and industrial sectors, as well as retail, real estate and innovative business, with more than 15 years of experience in this field - Khudobina Ekaterina.
Second year students learned about modern consulting models of competencies, as well as technologies for selecting and evaluating candidates. They could try themselves in the role of evaluators and assesed person in business cases.
Ekaterina talked about how the work of the recruiting manager is built, how its efficiency is assessed, which competencies  are necessary for it. She answered questions about the professional problems faced by recruiters in their daily work, and went through effective examples of their solutions. She also showed the detailed card of work of the recruiter and ways of increase of efficiency of a recruiting cycle.
Considerable attention was given to the directions of head hunting and specifically executive search in the workshop. Types of best-selling employees, effective methods of motivating them, as well as measures to prevent counter-offers were demonstrated. In the panel discussion, the ethical side of these methods and ways of regulating possible conflicts between stakeholders was touched upon.
At the end of the workshop, the expert demonstrated and compared modern techniques for conducting interviews on competencies: STAR (situation, task, action, result) and PARLA (problem, action, result, learned, applied). Students on their own experience could see the effectiveness of techniques and even apply them to their professional activities.
