From a business-psychological game to understanding the secrets of effective business

Following the presentation and the workshop of our program at the Winter School of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Higher School of Economics

Winter school is a wonderful event, which is held by the HSE for its potential applicants. To get to the School, you need to justify the motivation, purpose of participation, pass the qualifying competition. Therefore, the Certificate of the school participant is highly appreciated by the Academic Council of the programme among the documents provided in the portfolio by the applicants.
As our long experience shows, participants of winter schools become active and success-oriented students. It is no coincidence that the  Business Psychology program not only takes part in every winter school with great pleasure, but also carefully prepares for this event.
This year, the acquaintance of the School participants with the approaches, content, methods of work on the programme was organised as a game that includes competitive struggle, a vivid dialogue, in-depth analysis of the business and the role of the psychologist in his development. The event was conducted by the academic programme director, Professor Natalia Ivanova with the participation of Professor Vladimir  Shtroo and Associate Professor Natalia Antonova.
We acquainted the participants with the features of the training, presented the website of the programme, which reflects all the information about the events, told about the life of the students, drew attention to sections of the website where the most important information for the applicants is stored, etc.
And following our tradition a business psychological game, which is usually developed specifically for the Winter School, was hold. This year, the participants acted on behalf of companies that are engaged in the production of funny toys for children. In the difficult competition for resources, the most flexible, resourceful, open to the experience, patient, able to build communication, benevolent and persevering, won. Like in real life. The game exposed psychological problems faced by businessmen in their work, and also revealed the possible areas of business psychological support for their activities.
At the School we met wonderful people who are seriously thinking about their future, their entering  our university, and also those who are very interested in our program.
We will be happy to see the participants of the School among our students!
