Course Syllabus

Abstract

The disciplines is devoted to the basic components of development studies: - population growth and it connection with the social transformation and economic development - human development indicators - the role of international organizations in development - climatic factor. «Educational program / course / master class was prepared in the framework of a research grant funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation (grant ID: 075-15-2020-978)».

  • To calculate the basic indexes of development
  • To distinguish the responsibility of international organizations and local actors
  • To estimate the role of climatic factor in development

  • To know the basic role of population in development, the role of international organizations and the principles of sustainable development goals

    The system of development indicators. The role of Human development index, advantages and disadvantages. The problems of inequality
  • Introduction. Population growth and development.
    Population growth and demographic transitions. Sustainable development goals (the evolution of the concept). The role of international organizations
  • The concept of sustainable development
    Global problems and the ways of solution in historical prospective and the curret situation with these problems. The main steps of the evolution of the concept. Sustainable development goals
