The Pre-Defense of Master's Theses for Second-year Students
The second year students of the “Population and Development” master's program recently completed their pre-defense on April 11-13, covering a wide range of topics that reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the program. The committee responsible for evaluating the students' work included professors from the faculty of social sciences, as well as the program's academic supervisor, prof. Alexander Larionov.
VIII Forum on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)
At the end of March, 2nd-year student of the Master's program “Population and Development” Adeola Oluwatobi Oyewole took part in the VIII Forum dedicated to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The event was held from March 27 to March 29 at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).
Master Class from the Programme Graduate at the Winter School 2023
On February 11, 2023, the presentation of the English-language master's program “Population and Development” took place within the framework of the Winter School of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Higher School of Economics. During the event, the academic supervisor of the program, Alexander Vitalievich Larionov, revealed the nuances of admission, and the features and advantages of the learning process. His speech was continued by 2nd-year students who told everyone present about student and extracurricular life.

‘One Year of Combined-Track Studies Expands Students’ Research Horizons’

International Autumn School devoted to “Demographic methods in public health research”
From September 24 to October 5, 2018, two of our students, Sally Sonia Simmons and Vitalie Stirba, received invitations to attend the International Autumn School devoted to “Demographic methods in public health research”.
It was held in Pushkin, suburb of St. Petersburg, Russia. Students share their experience.
Oxfam Workshop on Violence against Women
On October 3rd and 4th Zorica Skakun, a gender coordinator for Oxfam GB in Yemen who provides support and leadership to ensure women's rights, presented two workshops on various aspects of violence against women for students of the programme "Population and Development".
