On 27th October and 3rd November, HSE Anthropology professor from the faculty of Social Science, Ilya Ermolin, organized excursions around Moscow for the second-year students from master’s program Population and Development.

Applications for ‘Study Tour Experience’ Now Open
HSE ‘Study Tour Experience’ is a unique project for international applicants who want to experience what it's like to be an HSE master’s student. The international training internship by the HSE International Admissions Office has been functioning since 2020 in two formats (offline and online) and in two languages—Russian and English. In the autumn semester of the 2024/25 academic year, the internship will take place November 11–23. The application deadline is October 13.

‘I Intend to Establish Myself in Academia’
Fedor Shvets came to Russia from Kazakhstan, graduated from the Bachelor’s programme in Sociology and Social Informatics at HSE University in St Petersburg, and is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Population and Development at HSE University in Moscow. Participation of our Master's Student in an International Conference
July 5th our student, Idowu Bashiru Olalekan, participated in the First Annual Multidisciplinary International Conference at the University of Nigeria Nsukka on the theme: a Whole New World: Research, Development and Innovation in the Pandemic Era. It was the First Annual Multidisciplinary Conference of the University.

The seminar devoted to Gender Issues in Humanitarian Actions organized by OxFam will take place November 19. The speaker is Edith Muluhya, Global Gender Adviser (Oxfam Global Humanitarian Team), lecture on Gender Issues. Also among the participants are students of “Population and Development” and “Political Analysis and Public Policy” programmes.

Student Research Paper Competition 2020 Accepting Submissions
Any student or 2020 graduate of a Russian or international university is eligible to take part in the Student Research Paper Competition. Papers can be submitted from September 1 to October 15. The competition has been held at HSE University since 2003.

Lecture of Valentina Frolova during class 'Gender and Development'
On February, 25, during class "Gender and Development", Valentina Frolova, lawyer of the Union of Women's NGOs, gave a guest lecture in the format of a round table. Students of "Population and Development", "Comparative Social Research programmes as well as international students and professors - Olga Isupova and Valeria Utkina attended the event.
