How Experience of Studying at HSE has Fundamentally Changed the Views
'Students in our program come from various backgrounds, and I have cultivated invaluable friendships in these two years of studying. We had studied together, lived together, and had a lot of fun together. I will always carry these memories with me on my future journey to come'. You Li, a graduate 2019 of Political Analysis and Public Policy, shares his study experience with us.
My experience of studying at the Higher School of Economics has fundamentally changed my views on many important things in a positive way. Before I went to HSE, I had been studying in America for over 6 years, but the truth is, in the field political science, one should not dwell solely on one perspective. In a world that is increasingly globalized, understanding the basis of non-Western issues and politics is also increasingly important.
The Higher School of Economics has top-class scholars from all around the world, and they're extremely helpful for students who are willing to learn. The design of our program - Political Analysis and Public Policy - is coherent, diverse, and cutting-edge. After two years of learning, I have developed a solid foundation for policy analysis, which is the most important asset I have obtained. It has fully prepared me for pursuing my future academic career, and I feel confident that I could be accepted by an exellent PhD program.
Russia is an amazing country - it is rich in history and culture. Although a little challenging at first, I eventually fell deeply in love with this country. The Study Office and the faculty have always done their best to assist students in overcoming these initial challenges and issues, and I am really grateful for all their efforts. I will always appreciate the opportunities that HSE and Russia had provided me with, and I strongly recommend our program for any prospective students who are interested in studying in Russia
